Yeah, why not? I think you were kind of in and out of retirement during when I was active on the boards.

I think we'd have a lot to talk about considering we are going into the same profession.

Wellllll after a decade of being in it, I'm actually leaving this profession if I ever finish school and find a job. It turns out that I'm not as much of a people person irl (with the general public) as I am online with fellow gamer nerds. Le homo sapiens is an entitled species, and I hate being slave to them. Nursing is just a fancy word for "the public service branch of the medical world".. and I say this because it really is just like working in retail or the restaurant biz. Except that not only do you have to deal with people who seem to get off on bossing you around, you have to deal with SICK people, who generate added excuses for having said bossiness. I admire those who can do it, and I do wish you great success. I work with *amazing* nurses that this world is blessed to have. But it ain't for me for the long run. That being said, I do quite enjoy chatting with others who are in the field as well because we usually come up with some pretty relatable stories. You really don't know how crazy people are until you work this field (or any public service job, really). Hmu in discord sometime. I'd love to chat. <3

I'm aiming more for public health nursing for a municipality actually. Less hospital stuff. More community outreach/primary care. Was thinking Nurse Practitioner school after that?

And that's great that you admitted you needed a career change. I'm just glad that with nursing there's so many different career options out there.
